Dynaudio A/S Denmark Achieves ISO9001, ISO14001 and QS9000 Certifications
Dynaudio North America is proud to announce that our parent company Dynaudio A/S Denmark is one of only five companies in Denmark Certified as achieving the International Organization of Standardizations ISO 9001:1994 & QS 9000 and ISO 14001:1996 production quality, and is the first and only specialty high-end loudspeaker manufacturer in the world to achieve such certification. The ISO 9000 series has become an international reference for quality requirements in business to business dealings, and the ISO 14000 series looks set to achieve at least as much, if not more, in helping organizations to meet their environmental ("green issue") challenges.

The ISO 9000 series is a set of three individual, but related, international standards on quality management and quality assurance. This is applied to what the organization does to enhance customer satisfaction by meeting customer and applicable regulatory requirements as well as efforts to continually improve its performance in these regards. The series is generic, rather than specific, to any particular product. They can be used by manufacturing and service industries alike. These standards were developed to effectively document the quality system elements to be implemented in order to maintain an efficient quality system within a company.

A series of standards on environmental management tools and systems, ISO14001 deals with a company's system for managing its day-to-day operations that have an impact on the environment. This series examines what an organization does to minimize harmful effects on the environment caused by its activities, as well as continual efforts to improve environmental performance. The main objectives are to address: environmental management systems, environmental auditing, environmental labels and declarations, continuous environmental performance evaluations, and life cycle assessment. Only 3% of all companies in Denmark have this level of Environmental Certification, and in a country in which the clean-air and environmental standards eclipse those imposed by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) here in the USA.

QS-9000 certification indicates that an automotive supplier has developed and implemented systems that deliver continuous improvement through defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain. Automotive suppliers measure the benefits of QS-9000 processes in improvements in the defect levels of parts per million, and naturally, pass these benefits along to their customers. As Dynaudio is currently supplying speakers for car audio applications to automotive manufacturers, this certification was an important step in guarantying quality to the accounts, and has also proven highly beneficial to all aspects of Dynaudio production, offering the highest level of quality to every customer.
