After several years of intensive research and development a new Confidence Series has been created. Every detail of the construction is the direct result of innovative development of Dynaudio technologies whose functional requirements were integrated into a clear-cut aesthetic concept. The design elements and details incorporated into the new Confidence models have a clear functional background, having effectively been converted aesthetically by our team of Danish engineers and designers. In the Confidence models, Dynaudio employs a completely new cabinet baffle approach; the front, crafted of special resonance-damping 38mm high-density fiberboard, was constructed as an independent element and as such it is optimized for the physical and sonic requirements of the drivers. It is firmly attached with a highly dampening wood panel to the cabinet. The shape of the baffle is moulded with precise lines and an exactly calculated radius, avoiding reflections and achieving a perfectly balanced transmission over the entire frequency range.

The Confidence models also incorporate the Dynaudio Directivity Control technology (DDC), reducing room reflections to give an impressive soundstage and detailed reproduction of the audio signal. Also part of DDC is the use of two tweeters. For the Confidence, Dynaudio developed a completely new tweeter with an extremely high performance level: The new Esotar². It uses a special new dome coating, providing a smooth frequency roll-off without peaks or dips, and also a new integrated dampening chamber. The high quality cabinet of the loudspeaker had to be widened in certain areas to enable a perfect integration of the bass drivers. This has been achieved through the employment of a stiff and very effective material: glass. But only with accurate placement and an ultra-precise connection to wood sidewalls is the required anti-resonant character obtained. The reward is a space-saving construction with a surface that will conserve its brilliant appearance for years. The cabinets are built in Denmark by skilled master craftsmen who finely sand and hand polish each loudspeaker in a lavish process. The result is a high quality furniture grade finish that will endure for decades.

The new Confidence line will soon be broadened with the introduction of a matching center and surround channel models, as well as a subwoofer solution to facilitate the most advanced multi-channel system set-ups. The Confidence package will not only deliver spectacular surround sound in film sequences, but also an amazing musicality.
